The course was built with the help of the best course architects of the time. Rafael Sundblom designed the first 9 holes that were inaugurated by Prince Bertil in 1949. The remaining 9 were created by Sundblom together with Douglas Brasier. The 18-hole course was inaugurated in 1956.

Sundblom and Brasier had then created a championship course of the highest class. Since 2011, LG has collaborated with Pierre Fulke, where Pierre helps develop the club's master plan.

From 2023 we are apart of the LiveGIS system where changes on the golfcourse will be mirrored to the web and app graphics with accuracy you can rely on.
